How to create a Tax Invoice for Australian user?
Billy is designed to be used internationally, that is why we have integrated option for you customize your templates and rename the taxes as per your needs. For our Australian users, you need to create an invoice just to reflect the tax, and this invoice needs to be named as Tax Invoice. In order to do it, you will need to follow these steps: Click on Settings (small Gear at the bottom left of your BillyApp Screen)
Click on Templates ( You can either create a new template or rename your existing one.) Once you selected the invoice template, on the right hand side you will see the first option Name, please make sure that you rename the invoice to distinguish it from the other templates. Please note this name is for internal use only so it will not appear anywhere on the invoice. Right below it you will see an option Language, click on it.
If you scroll down, you will see the option named Alternative Settings, right under it you will find the option to rename your taxes to GST.
Scroll down and you will see the Invoices written in Bold letters, under invoices, you will find the option Alternative Document Title. This is where you can rename your invoice to Tax Invoice.Once done, please scroll up and click Save. Now, when you need to create a Tax Invoice, please go to Invoices -> Create Invoice.
Towards the bottom left (right under the Payment Methods) you will see the drop down menu named Template, click on it and select the Invoice which you have created previously for this purpose and you will be all set.
